Before I see you next (eh hem, Thursday) you need to create a list of your top 5 choices for SQUIRT reading. Here are some great places to being your search for interesting young adult reading:
The Young Adult Library Services Association: Scroll down to 2011 Nominees. (Hint: I would download the annotated file. It will give you a summary of each of the texts)
Amazon: Current teen best sellers.
AdLit: A list of current award winning books for teens and tweens.
After you have created a list of 5 choices, you need to go to the library's website and make sure that they carry at least one of your choices. Highlight any of your choices that the library has or add a selection to your list that the library carries.
E-mail your list to Mrs. Cook before class on Thursday by clicking the "E-mail The Cook" button on the main page. (If you don't have e-mail, you are welcome to write a comment with your name, class period, and completed assignment within the comment). If all else fails, be responsible and bring a hand-written list to class on Thursday (this should be your last resort and your grade will reflect it as such).
